No coach in the history of the game has had the impact on the game, the
fans, other coaches, and particular the players who played for him, than has
the Bear, Coach Paul W. Bryant. While his record of wins has been surpassed
by the long careers of Bobby Bowden and Joe Paterno, he is still the
greatest. Coach Bryant built men not football players.
At Alabama, Coach Byrant coached teams won 13 SEC conference championships
and six national championships.
