ALABAMA NOTEBOOK: Tide TE Colin Peek eager to return to Atlanta

TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama tight end Colin Peek will be starting his Crimson Tide career in the city where he lasted played as a college football player.

The senior from Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., signed with Georgia Tech in 2005 after considering Alabama, where his grandfather once played football. After a redshirt year in 2006, he played 11 games for Chan Gailey's Yellow Jackets, but elected to transfer to Alabama after Gailey was fired at the end of the season.
